Dr. Jessica Provines: Serving as the Assistant Vice President of Wellness and Chief Psychologist at Wichita State University, brings over 25 years of dedicated service to addressing the mental health needs of students. Motivated by her personal experiences with depression and loss, Dr. Provine's journey has been a testament to resilience and compassion. As a visionary co-founder of Suspenders For Hope, she continues to pioneer innovative approaches to supporting mental well-being, leaving an indelible mark on both her local community and beyond.
Wendy Hummell: As the Health and Wellness Manager for the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and a retired Wichita Police Department Detective, Wendy Hummell brings a dynamic blend of experience and passion to her role. Drawing from her firsthand encounters with trauma and wellness challenges, Wendy is dedicated to empowering first responders through innovative wellness programs and her impactful “Guns and Yoga” podcast. Her relentless commitment to supporting the well-being of those on the front lines makes her an invaluable asset in fostering resilience and promoting holistic health within the law enforcement community.
Who Should Attend?
This retreat is for educators, support staff, mental health professionals, therapists, counselors, nurses, doctors, social workers, clinicians, peer support specialists, community advocates, nonprofit representatives, and other leaders who work directly with individuals and communities.
Important Note: Please bring your own yoga mat, as the day will be spent mostly on the floor during somatic practices.

We want this retreat to be accessible to all, regardless of financial means.
To help cover the costs of organizing and hosting this transformative event, we suggest a donation between $50 and $100.
However, please feel free to contribute any amount that feels right for you.
Any excess funds will be donated to NAMI Wichita- The National Alliance on Mental Illness.
